The average price for loose eggs in category C1 now stands at 66 hryvnias per dozen, while selected C0 eggs cost 70 hryvnias per dozen. The largest eggs, labeled as CB, are priced at up to 77 hryvnias per dozen. This sharp increase is particularly noticeable for shoppers preparing for holiday meals.

In supermarkets, a dozen packaged first-category eggs ranges from 68 to 74 hryvnias. Experts predict that prices could rise by another 10% just before the holiday, causing concern among consumers who are stocking up for festive celebrations.

It is important to note that producers, not regulators, set egg prices—whether they go up or down. According to earlier forecasts from the ATB press service, no further price increases are planned for the Easter holidays.
