In the evening of July 23, negotiations took place in Istanbul between the delegations of Ukraine and Russia in full format. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Hakan Fidan, opened the meeting.

The Minister noted that the international community positively evaluates the results of previous rounds of negotiations. He emphasized that Turkey is ready to ensure the safety of both parties.

The Minister also stated that Turkey intends to provide the necessary infrastructure for monitoring compliance with a possible ceasefire in Ukraine.
It is recalled that on July 23, negotiations took place between Ukraine and Russia in Istanbul regarding the cessation of the war. The Ukrainian side intends to raise the level of dialogue and discuss three key issues, including a ceasefire.
