Attention is focused on a possible meeting between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump.
According to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, the Russian leadership is ready for contact and is waiting for signals from the American side.
'Putin is ready for contact with Trump, Moscow is waiting for signals, will inform about a possible conversation in due time',
He stated that the price of oil would not affect the conflict, which, according to Russia, is related to the threats to the country's security and insufficient attention from the West.
Trump, for his part, expressed his desire to meet with Putin to discuss the cessation of the war in Ukraine. When asked about the timing of an agreement between Kyiv and Moscow, Trump replied succinctly: 'ask Russia, Ukraine is ready'.
