According to UATV: Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Mátyár has announced his willingness to hold talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy early next week. The proposed meeting is part of ongoing discussions between Kyiv and Budapest focused on the rights of the ethnic Hungarian minority living in Ukraine. This development comes after a period of strained relations between the two neighboring countries.
Technical-level negotiations between the two nations are already underway, specifically addressing the status and protections for Ukraine's Hungarian community. A notable milestone was the first in-person meeting between Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha and Hungary's newly appointed Foreign Minister Anita Orbán.
