According to UATV: Leaders from 32 nations have gathered in Ankara for the second day of the NATO summit, focusing on security challenges across the Euro-Atlantic region amid Russia’s ongoing aggression. A central theme of the discussions is continued support for Ukraine, which remains a top priority in international policy as armed conflicts persist.

Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson announced during the summit that his country intends to supply Ukraine with 32 Gripen fighter jets. This move is part of a broader Western European strategy aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities. Kristersson emphasized,

“Europe is facing a genuinely severe security situation right now. What will happen with Russia, which refuses to negotiate but cannot win the war against Ukraine? That’s why I believe we must be fully prepared for a wide range of possible scenarios involving Russia.” - Ulf Kristersson

Financial aid for Ukraine also took center stage. The European Commission and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte proposed allocating 0.25% of GDP to support Ukraine. Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen highlighted the importance of sustained support, stating,
