PFU showed how the size of Ukrainians' pensions changed in 2024.


In 2024, there were changes in the sizes of pensions and the number of pensioners in Ukraine. According to the information from the Pension Fund of Ukraine, the average pension size increased by 8.7% (466.61 UAH) and amounts to 5,851.86 UAH. This size exceeds the inflation rate for the same period.
The main increase in pensions occurred on March 1, 2024, due to indexation. Pensions increased by 8% for various categories of pensioners, including ordinary pensioners, former security personnel, and individuals receiving payments due to the Chernobyl disaster.
Also, the number of pensioners decreased in the year. As of October 1, 2024, their number was 10,342,593 people, which is 173,944 people less compared to the beginning of the year (10,516,537 pensioners).
In 2023, the average pension size also increased by 16.5% and was 5,385.25 UAH until January 1, 2024.
