According to inkorr.com: Starting October 1, 2025, residents of frontline regions of Ukraine will automatically receive compensation for 100 kWh of electricity per person (up to 300 kWh per family). This was reported by the Ministry of Reintegration.

Compensation amount for electricity

This financial support will amount to 432 UAH for each family member, with a maximum amount of 1296 UAH per household.

Receiving electricity benefits for residents of frontline zones

Payments will be made under the Program to Support Frontline Territories and will be credited by the Pension Fund along with subsidies and benefits. There is no need to contact social protection or submit applications.

These funds will help cover expenses for lighting, heating, operation of household appliances, and alternative energy sources, which is especially important in combat zones. The compensation amount will be calculated according to the formula: a fixed energy norm multiplied by the tariff, so the sum may vary depending on prices in the region.

'For people in frontline territories, every additional hryvnia matters greatly. We understand that due to Russian aggression, living conditions there are extremely difficult. As part of the Program to Support Frontline Regions, today a system of additional payments for electricity has been launched. This will help families cover basic needs – light, heat, operation of household appliances. We are working to ensure that everyone feels support locally', – noted the Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Community and Territorial Development Oleksii Kuleba.

Duration of compensation for electricity for frontline territories

Payments will continue until one of the following conditions is met:

  • the family moves from a dangerous area;
  • loses the right to a subsidy or benefit;
  • the status of the territory changes to conditionally safe or temporarily occupied.

These payments are regular and represent monthly assistance, integrated into the social support system. For Ukrainians in frontline regions, where electricity tariffs have increased due to shelling, this program is an important financial aid: according to the Ministry of Reintegration, it already covers thousands of families in Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, and other regions.

The implementation of this program reflects the state's commitment to support people living in difficult conditions caused by the war. Compensation will help families cope with financial difficulties and meet their basic needs, which is especially relevant in the current situation in eastern Ukraine.
