The Pension Fund revealed details: who can receive double service time
Ukrainian workers in certain professions can expect to have their insurance service time counted at double the rate. This means that for each year worked in certain positions, two years will be credited instead of one, allowing them to retire earlier than others.

This was reported by the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU).

Who is entitled to double service time

The calculation of the service time required for pension appointment is carried out in accordance with Article 24 of Law No. 1058-IV 'On Mandatory State Pension Insurance'.

Work in difficult, hazardous or extreme conditions can be credited as double service time. This includes work in underground mining enterprises, in extreme conditions, while performing certain types of military service, in medical institutions with high risks, in water transport, and in the event of emergency situation liquidation.

How to retire early due to double service time

To obtain the opportunity to retire early due to double service time, citizens need to contact the Pension Fund and provide documentary proof of their work in the specified conditions. This may include a work book with appropriate entries, certificates from employers, or extracts from regulatory acts.

It should also be noted that pensioners may be required to provide an income statement and details of what benefits citizens with 40 years of service can expect. In particular, pension arrangements are possible from the age of 60, and the amount will be individual.

The Pension Fund of Ukraine confirmed the possibility of early pensions for workers in certain professions who have worked in difficult conditions. This will facilitate retirement for these individuals, allowing them to enjoy their well-deserved rest a little earlier, taking into account the specifics of their work.
