Cold Snap Hits Ukraine on March 14: Forecasters Warn of Strong Winds.
Weather Forecast for March 14, 2023
According to Novyny.live: Ukraine is set to experience a sharp drop in temperatures on March 14, 2023, accompanied by strong winds and mostly clear skies. According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center (Ukrhydrometcenter), nighttime temperatures will range from -2°C to +3°C. During the day, thermometers are expected to climb to between +8°C and +13°C, with western regions seeing a possible rise to +17°C.
Winds will shift from the southeast and east, blowing at speeds of 7 to 12 meters per second. This will make the air feel colder, particularly in the evening.
“Ukrhydrometcenter predicts the cooling is due to cold air moving in from the east,” weather experts report.
Kyiv-Specific Weather Conditions
In Kyiv, the capital will see relatively milder conditions compared to other parts of the country. Overnight lows will hover between +2°C and +5°C, while daytime highs are forecast at +10°C to +12°C. Renowned forecaster Natalka Didenko adds:
“Daytime air temperatures will be around +9°C to +12°C,”indicating a more moderate outlook for the city.
Residents across Ukraine should prepare for the shifting weather, marked by colder air and gusty winds. Dressing appropriately for the conditions is advised to avoid hypothermia.
These weather changes could significantly disrupt daily plans and impact key sectors such as agriculture and transportation. The anticipated cold spell and strong winds may hinder outdoor activities and reduce overall comfort. It is crucial for the public to follow the recommendations of forecasters and adjust their routines to adapt to the new weather patterns.
