Weekend Weather Outlook for Ukraine: July 4–5 Brings Relief from Intense Heat.
Ukraine Weather Forecast for July 4–5, 2023
According to Novyny.live: After a stretch of extreme summer temperatures, Ukraine is set to experience a welcome cooldown over the weekend of July 4–5, 2023. Forecasts indicate a comfortable range of +20 to +25°C during the day across most of the country, though southern regions will see slightly warmer conditions, between +24 and +29°C. Despite the reprieve from the heat, rain is expected in many areas.
Precipitation is likely across a large portion of Ukraine, particularly in the southern and central oblasts. In Kyiv, daytime temperatures will hover around +23 to +24°C, accompanied by intermittent thunderstorms. Meteorologist Natalka Didenko noted that
“the heat is retreating, and tomorrow most regions of Ukraine will see daytime highs of +20 to +25°C, with +24 to +29°C in the south; only on Saturday will eastern areas still hold onto +26 to +31°C”.
Overall, the weekend will bring moderate temperatures and rain, steering clear of the extreme weather conditions seen earlier this summer, when record highs exceeded +37°C. This shift marks a positive turn after the unusually hot June, as cooler weather and rainfall are expected to benefit agriculture by restoring critical soil moisture. It should also offer much-needed comfort to residents who endured the prolonged heatwave.
