Ukraine's Heatwave Breaks: Forecaster Didenko Warns of Rain and Cooler Weather Ahead.
Weather Forecast for Ukraine: July 4-5
According to Espreso.tv: Ukraine is set to experience a significant shift in weather patterns on July 4-5, as forecaster Natalka Didenko announces dropping temperatures and incoming rain. On July 4, thunderstorms, heavy downpours in some areas, and strong squalls are expected across the country. The following day, July 5, will bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.
Temperature and Conditions
Daytime temperatures in most Ukrainian regions will range from +20 to +25 °C, while the southern parts will remain warmer at +24 to +29 °C. In Kyiv, temperatures are forecasted to hover around +23 to +24 °C during these days. Didenko noted that
“the heat is retreating, and tomorrow most regions of Ukraine will see daytime highs of +20 to +25 °C, with the south reaching +24 to +29 °C”. She also mentioned that on Saturday, eastern areas might still see temperatures of +26 to +31 °C, but by Sunday, cooler conditions will arrive there as well.
“The atmospheric front will bring plenty of rain,” Didenko added. In the capital, daytime temperatures are expected to be “a pleasant +23 to +24 °C.” Forecasts indicate that on Saturday and Sunday, Kyiv may experience localized thunderstorms, prompting residents to “try to dodge the raindrops.”
This shift in weather conditions in early July signals a gradual end to the summer heatwave, which could impact the agricultural sector, particularly crop harvesting. While the thunderstorms may benefit plants, they also pose risks from heavy rain and squalls. Residents should exercise caution as the atmospheric front passes, as localized flooding and other hazardous events are possible.
