According to inkorr.com:
Olya Polyakova expressed her desire to review some of the rules for artists' participation in the National Selection for Eurovision. The artist sent an official letter to 'Public Broadcasting', in which she stated her position. Producer Mykhailo Yasyinsky, who collaborates with Polyakova, supported the initiative to review the permission for participation in the national selection.
Review of the Participation Rules in the National Selection
Mykhailo Yasyinsky noted that the rules for participation in the National Selection for Eurovision need to be revised, as they are selective. Artists who performed on the territory of the Russian Federation and occupied territories after 2014 are now unable to participate in the selection. It is worth noting that singer Alyona Alyona had previously expressed certain limitations when collaborating with 'Public Broadcasting'.
Olya Polyakova's Initiative
Olya Polyakova, together with producer Mykhailo Yasyinsky, initiated the review of the rules in the National Selection for Eurovision. They believe that the restrictions related to the venues where artists perform need attention and possible correction for greater equality and accessibility for Ukrainian musicians.
The proposed changes could significantly impact the music scene in Ukraine, allowing new talents to participate in the competition. The discussion around the National Selection rules has become relevant against the backdrop of societal changes, and the positions of artists can help create a more inclusive platform for the development of Ukrainian music.
