“We have opened the first negotiation clusters with Ukraine and Moldova. I believe this is a very important moment. But I also want to make it very clear: this is not the end of negotiations, but only the beginning. Opening the clusters means we are formally presenting the conditions these countries must meet. This is the point where we lay out formal requirements for the candidates. Of course, in these negotiations, we will be defending our own interests.”
