Legendary Dutch national team footballer Johan Neeskens has died.

At the age of 74, former Dutch footballer Johan Neeskens, who played for "Ajax" and "Barcelona", passed away. Official sources reported this.

Neeskens died on October 6 at the age of 73 in Algeria.

He started his career at "Ajax", joining the club at 18. He and Johan Cruyff played on the same team, and then Neeskens moved to "Barcelona".

With "Ajax", he became a three-Time European Champions Cup winner and won the UEFA Super Cup twice. With "Barcelona", he participated in two Cup Winners' Cups.

He also played for other teams, such as "Groningen", "New York Cosmos", "Minnesota Strikers", and "Fort Lauderdale Sun". He ended his career in Switzerland, where he played for "Levenbrau", "Bar", and "Zug-94".

In the Dutch national team, he played 49 matches and scored 17 goals. He was the vice world champion in 1974 and 1978 and won a bronze medal at the 1976 European Championship.

After finishing his career on the field, Neeskens worked as an assistant coach for the Dutch national team and "Barcelona" when the team was led by Frank Rijkaard.
