According to inkorr.com: On August 31, the famous Buryat-born artist-animator Radna Sakhaltyev passed away in Kyiv. He was 90 years old.

The information about the death of the legendary animator was confirmed by film critic Serhiy Trymbach on social media Facebook. He noted that during the celebration of Sakhaltyev's 90th anniversary on May 15, the artist said: 'I already live too much'. 'And today Radna decided to draw a line under such a truly long and meaningful life,' wrote Trymbach.

Trymbach characterized him as an artist who could rise above mundane life and observe people 'in a humorous positive manner'. He also emphasized Sakhaltyev's incredible life-affirming talent.

Biography and Professional Achievements

Sakhaltyev was born in 1935 in Ulan-Ude and received an education at the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography, specializing in animation art. After graduating in 1961, he moved to Kyiv, where he became a member of the artistic association 'Kyivnaukfilm'.

• Participated in the creation of the film 'How the Cossacks Played Hockey'.

In the 1970s-1980s, he actively worked with the magazine 'Perets' and illustrated publications for 'Piznayko'. He also created illustrations for children's books published by 'Veselka', 'Ranok', and 'Folio'. In 2008, he was awarded the title of People's Artist of Ukraine.
