30 countries called to block Russian athletes: what is known.
According to inkorr.com: Representatives of the governments of more than 30 partner countries have issued a joint statement regarding the decision of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) on the participation of athletes from Russia and Belarus. In the document, they expressed concern over the ongoing war, violations of the Olympic Charter, and called for the absence of peaceful coexistence with the participation of athletes from these countries in international competitions.
Support for the IOC Decision
Countries also supported the decision of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to ban Russia from the 2026 Winter Olympics and suspend the membership of the Olympic Committee of Russia. Some signatories emphasized the importance of receiving clarifications from the IPC regarding the possible participation of athletes from Russia and Belarus in future Paralympic competitions.
