The Prime Minister of Sweden voiced the position on the supply of weapons to Ukraine.
Sweden will support Ukraine in times of heightened tension
Sweden promises to continue providing important military assistance to Ukraine. Stockholm is a major donor of aid to Kyiv.
The Prime Minister of Sweden, Ulf Kristersson, stated this on Tuesday, July 15, in response to the call of U.S. President Donald Trump for support for Ukraine.
Assistance to Ukraine from Sweden
Kristersson noted that Sweden remains one of Ukraine's key donors and will continue supplying necessary weapons.
'As one of Ukraine's largest donors and together with our NATO allies, Sweden will continue to contribute to fast and substantial deliveries to Ukraine,'the Prime Minister emphasized.
He also noted that it is important to act as a united front against Russian aggression.
'Time is of the essence. The sooner we all unite to stop Russia in its brutal war against Ukraine, the more lives will be saved,'Kristersson stressed.
It is worth noting that Sweden is an important partner for Ukraine in matters of defense capability, cooperating both bilaterally and multilaterally.
We remind you that the U.S. plans to provide NATO allies with about $10 billion for new weapons that will be supplied to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
It is also worth mentioning that Ukraine may receive not only Patriot air defense systems but also other weapons, including short- and medium-range missiles.
The Prime Minister of Sweden confirmed the country's support for Ukraine in the context of escalating situations, calling for unity in countering Russian aggression and stressing the importance of swift and decisive actions in this direction.Read also
