Expenses of Oleksandr Zinchenko
According to The Sun: Premier League footballer Oleksandr Zinchenko received a tax bill of £300,000 after losing in court.
The Arsenal defender was served with a demand to pay overdue corporate tax by HMRC.
GettyTo date, Zinchenko, who is on loan to Nottingham Forest, has also received a bill of £35,000 from his accountants.
These details emerged when the 28-year-old Ukrainian announced the voluntary liquidation of his company that managed his image rights.
The company received a portion of his substantial earnings from a successful career.
Zinchenko has four Premier League titles in his collection from Man City before his £30 million move to the Gunners.
HMRC approached the High Court with a request to liquidate the company Alex Zinchenko Image Rights.
In February, the court proceedings ended after his team agreed to a settlement, but the exact figures were not disclosed.
Moreover, Zinchenko was the sole shareholder until a Ukrainian Football Federation official Artemiy Ryabov became the new owner and renamed the company to Ozir Ltd in July.
The footballer earns around £150,000 a week at Emirates, so he will need just two weeks to earn the necessary amount to cover the bill.
This situation highlights the importance of financial awareness for athletes, especially in the face of high expenses and legal challenges. Oleksandr Zinchenko, being one of the leading footballers, is unlikely to find himself in a difficult financial situation, but keeping his finances and business processes in check is the key to stability in his career. It’s important for sports stars to have reliable support in managing their assets.
