Newcastle's newcomer Vissa almost missed the transfer: details of the signing in 30 seconds.
Unforgettable transfer of Vissa to Newcastle
According to The Sun: Joan Vissa signed a contract with Newcastle just 30 seconds before the transfer window closed.
The 28-year-old player from the Democratic Republic of Congo has become the club's new number 9, completing his transfer from Brentford for £55 million on Monday.
GettyHowever, the deal almost fell through because Vissa accidentally failed to sign one of the required documents.
According to SunSport, one of the player's representatives raced to Newcastle's training ground to find Vissa.
This commotion resulted in the document being signed at the very last second. Fortunately for Eddie Howe, the transfer was approved by the Premier League at 20:59, less than two hours after the original deadline — 19:00.
Vissa may miss important matches
Vissa has already left Tyneside to join his national team mates, who are preparing for a World Cup qualifying match against South Sudan on Friday.
His national commitments could hinder Howe's plans as he risks missing SEVEN of Newcastle's matches.
This will significantly impact the 'Scorpions' ambitions in the Premier League and the Champions League.
Vissa will miss key matches during the holiday season against Manchester United, Chelsea, and Burnley due to the Africa Cup of Nations, which will take place from December 21 to January 18.
If the DRC reaches the final, he may miss another four games.
Newcastle will play against Crystal Palace, Leeds, and Wolverhampton in early January, and Vissa may also miss the Champions League match against PSV.

As a result of Callum Wilson's departure and Isak's refusal to play, the 'Scorpions' had to field striker Anthony Gordon in the forward position for the first round match against Aston Villa.
During the 2-3 defeat to Liverpool last week, young Danish player Will Osula, who failed to move to Stuttgart at the end of the transfer window, came on as a substitute and scored but did not impress the coaching staff when he got a chance in the starting lineup — the team drew a goalless match with Leeds on Saturday.
At least, Howe has two options — Vissa and new striker Nick Woltemade, who joined for £69 million from Stuttgart, preparing to start the match against Wolverhampton on September 13, as the team aims to secure their first victory of the season.

Vissa's representative had to run through Newcastle's training center to save his transfer.
This thrilling transfer has bolstered Newcastle's ranks but also posed new challenges for the team related to the player's international commitments. The club's fans are eagerly awaiting his debut and hope that Vissa can quickly adapt to the new conditions and contribute to the team's success in the Premier League.
