FIFA changes the national team calendar: the next season of the Premier League will have only four breaks.
An unusual season for the Premier League
According to The Sun: In the next season, the Premier League will undergo interesting changes due to a new, controversial format of international breaks.
This season, the league will stop five times for ten international matches. However, FIFA has announced that this will change next season.

FIFA noted that next season there will be four international breaks, one of which will involve four matches, which is significantly different from the previous format.
“After consultations with stakeholders, FIFA publishes the International Match Calendar (IMC) for a period of four or eight years. The main goal of FIFA is to create a football calendar that meets modern requirements, contributing to the improvement of players, clubs, and national teams and providing both incentives and opportunities for discovering and developing talents beyond the small number of countries.”
Thus, three of these breaks will include two matches, which will ultimately lead to the traditional ten games per season.
England prepares for qualification
This means that the national team of England will be actively preparing after the 2026 World Cup. The 'Three Lions' team needs only one victory for official qualification for the summer competitions to be held in the USA, Mexico, and Canada.
In the last match, the team, led by Thomas Tuchel, won convincingly against Serbia with a score of 5-0.
Thus, a victory in Latvia on October 14 will secure England's place in the tournament.

The planned changes will affect the entire football world, hoping that they will enhance competition and match quality. Players and fans will be interested to see how these innovations will impact the matches and the overall atmosphere of the season.Read also
