Dniprovskaya TPP suspends heat supply due to accident.

A portion of Dnipro residents will be without heating for several days due to an accident at the Dniprovskaya TPP. This was reported by DTEK referring to Glavkom.
In the residential area of Dniprovskyi, temporary heat supply has been completely halted due to a technological issue. Although the energy workers managed to maintain the base level of heat, the equipment could not withstand it, and another failure occurred.
«Just last year, the Ukrainian energy system suffered 13 massive enemy attacks. About 90% of DTEK's thermal generation was destroyed or damaged by the summer of 2024. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, DTEK's thermal power plants have been attacked by the enemy over 200 times», - it is noted in the statement.
Specialists will need at least two days to restore the minimum level of heat supply. However, it will take two weeks for more complex repairs and resolving the issues.
The European Commission predicts that the entire energy market of Ukraine and Moldova will be integrated into the European market by the end of next year. During this period, Europe has provided Ukraine with 1.8 GW of electricity.
Additionally, the American side proposed to impose a moratorium on attacks on energy facilities in Ukraine and Russia.
