One of the leaders of the 'Plast' and co-creator of the Maidan Self-Defense has died at the front.
The world has lost an outstanding defender, Roman Oryshchenko, who was an active participant in the Plast movement. After completing all stages of training in the organization, he held important positions, demonstrating his dedication and determination.
In February 2022, Roman went to the front line north of Kyiv as a platoon commander of the 72nd brigade. His comrades remember him as an indomitable fighter, ready to defend his fellow soldiers.
Roman did not leave the trenches near Vuhledar... He always took on the toughest challenges and overcame them victoriously
Oryshchenko, also known by the nickname Orlyk, was an important figure in the Plast movement, leading a company and contributing to the education of young people. He also made significant contributions to the Maidan Self-Defense and was awarded the Order of 'Courage.'
When most went to the war as volunteers, he stayed... In Kyiv, great hopes were placed on him. He decided to receive military education and prepared for defense in case of a full-scale invasion
We have also lost other soldiers and a war journalist. Ukraine lost a reliable defender who gave his life for his country and the Plast movement.
Roman Oryshchenko became a symbol of dedication and courage that he always embodied at the front. His contribution to the Plast movement and the defense of the country will always be remembered.
