Border guards warned Ukrainians about possible difficulties in crossing the Polish border.
At the Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint, problems with crossing the border have arisen due to repair work on the Polish side. The press service of the State Border Guard Service reported that the Polish side began restoring the paint coating of one of the canopies, which will last until November 12, 2024.
We ask citizens to take this information into account and, if possible, choose other checkpoints to cross the border
In this regard, traffic complications and increased waiting times are expected in the previously mentioned direction for passenger cars.
Preliminarily, delays at the Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint for two months can be expected due to repair work on the Polish side. Therefore, the border guard service recommends that citizens choose other checkpoints to cross the border.
