Ukraine Faces Heat Deficit: What is the Cause and Who Will Suffer.
Challenges of Energy Security Facing Ukraine
According to inkorr.com: As they prepare for the new heating season, Ukrainians are encountering serious problems in the field of energy security. Among the main challenges is the suspension of gas transit, occurring against the backdrop of the threat of Russian missile attacks on energy infrastructure.
Forecasts for Indoor Temperature
Expert Oleg Popenko notes that this winter could be even more challenging, as difficulties may arise not only with electricity supply but also with heating. Southern regions of Ukraine will especially suffer from gas shortages.
'The temperature in apartment buildings will be lower than usual. If it averages 18-20 degrees... it will be 14-16 degrees. If gas supply is very poor, the temperature will be even lower,' the expert noted.
Potential Heat Deficit
Given the possible attacks on infrastructure and rising gas consumption due to the cold, Ukrainians will likely face a heat deficit in their homes this winter. The approach of the heating season presents new challenges for ensuring the country's energy security.
This situation requires urgent measures from the government and relevant authorities to prevent serious problems during the winter. It is important for Ukrainians to be prepared for possible changes in living conditions and to seek alternative ways to provide heat in their homes.
