PrivatBank Extends Card Validity by 30 Months: What Restrictions Customers May Face.
PrivatBank Card Expiration Extension
According to Novyny.live: PrivatBank has automatically extended the validity of expired cards by 30 months, allowing customers to continue using them without immediate replacement. This measure, implemented under martial law, aims to prevent disruptions for clients whose cards have reached their expiration date.
The bank confirms that all cards with lapsed validity have been granted this extension. As a result, customers can proceed with transactions without rushing to get a new card. However, limitations may arise when using these cards for online payments or abroad.
“When paying online or abroad, restrictions may occur if the system checks the expiration date,” PrivatBank stated.
Getting New Cards
Customers who want a replacement card can order it remotely via the Privat24 system, avoiding the need to visit a bank branch. Delivery is available in over 60 countries, simplifying the process for those outside Ukraine. Alternatively, cards can be picked up at a bank branch or a Nova Poshta parcel locker, offering added convenience.
In this way, PrivatBank ensures uninterrupted card usage for its clients while highlighting potential issues with online transactions. Customers should remain mindful of possible inconveniences but can quickly and easily replace their card if needed.
Extending card validity during wartime is a key step to support clients’ financial stability. This decision helps reduce the stress of urgent card replacement, especially for those living abroad. At the same time, users should be cautious about possible restrictions on online payments, which could affect their spending activity.
