PrivatBank Tightens Cash Withdrawal Limits: Here’s How Much You Can Take Out Daily.
Updated Cash Withdrawal Caps at PrivatBank
According to Novyny.live: Due to the ongoing state of war in Ukraine, PrivatBank has introduced new restrictions on cash withdrawals. Cardholders are now limited to withdrawing up to 100,000 UAH per day from ATMs, with additional constraints on cardless withdrawals and over-the-counter transactions. As of March 2026, the daily ATM withdrawal limit at PrivatBank stands at 100,000 UAH, with a further restriction of no more than 40,000 UAH within any three-hour period.
Cardless cash withdrawals also come with their own set of rules. The first such transaction is capped at 4,000 UAH within a 24-hour window, and each subsequent withdrawal is also limited to 4,000 UAH per transaction, with a maximum of five transactions per day. Customers from other banks can withdraw up to 20,000 UAH per single transaction at PrivatBank ATMs.
Limits on Branch Withdrawals and Payment Restrictions
When it comes to withdrawing cash at PrivatBank branches, customers are limited to a maximum of 100,000 UAH per day. For clients of other banks, the daily branch withdrawal cap is set at 20,000 UAH. These cash withdrawal restrictions are a temporary measure implemented in response to the current situation in Ukraine.
Additionally, there are now limits on cash usage when paying for goods:
- At 'Bila Romashka' pharmacies, 'ATB', 'Silpo', Fozzy, 'Fora', VARUS, 'Tochka', and 'Thrash! Trash!' supermarkets — up to 6,000 UAH;
- At 'Ukrnafta' gas stations — up to 5,000 UAH;
- At 'Sim23' stores — up to 2,000 UAH;
- At NOVUS supermarkets, ROSHEN shops, and WOG, OKKO, and 'BRSM-Nafta' gas stations — up to 500 UAH.
Furthermore, the following fees now apply to cash withdrawals:
- 1% of the transaction amount at ATMs;
- 4% when withdrawing credit funds from the 'Universal' card;
- 0.2% at bank branches (minimum 5 UAH);
- 2% for withdrawals abroad.
These steps are designed to help maintain the stability of the financial system during martial law.
The introduction of new cash withdrawal caps at PrivatBank is part of broader efforts to uphold financial stability in Ukraine amid the wartime environment. The restrictions, which apply to both ATM and branch withdrawals, aim to regulate the volume of cash in circulation during a period of economic uncertainty. Customers should take these updated rules into account when planning their financial transactions and everyday expenses.
