Changes in Taxes for Owners of Large Vehicles: New Rates When Selling.
The Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reminded about the importance of tax payment by owners of large vehicles during sales. Even during the first sale in the current year, taxes must be paid for each transaction.
According to inkorr.com: Tax rates depend on the number of transactions. For the first two transactions, a tax of 5% and a military levy of 5% of the estimated value are charged. Starting from the third transaction, the tax increases to 18%, while the military levy remains at 5%. An exception is made for servicemen, for whom the military levy rate is 1.5%.
Valuation of the Vehicle Before Selling
Before concluding the sale-purchase agreement, a valuation of the vehicle must be conducted. The results of the valuation affect the amount of taxes to be paid.
The valuation of the vehicle is performed by specialized companies with the appropriate licenses. Information about such companies can be found on the official websites of the State Property Fund of Ukraine and the Expert Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The valuation document is mandatory for notarization and re-registration with the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasizes the importance of tax payment when selling large vehicles. Attention should be paid to tax rates, which depend on the number of transactions conducted, as well as the requirement for vehicle valuation before concluding the agreement. These procedures are important in Ukrainian legislation and will help avoid tax problems in the future.
Adhering to the correct procedures and paying taxes will not only help vehicle owners avoid fines but also ensure transparency during transactions. This information is relevant for everyone planning to sell large vehicles, as well as for those just learning about the new regulations.
