Russian propagandist Keosayan has died: the cause was a prolonged coma.
According to inkorr.com: Tigran Keosayan, a known Ukraine-phobe and Kremlin propagandist, has died in Russia after nine months in a coma. This information was confirmed by his wife, the editor-in-chief of RT, Margarita Simonyan.
Activities and views of Keosayan
Keosayan was famous for his pro-Kremlin views, actively promoting narratives related to 'Russian Donbas', 'Russian Crimea', and 'illegitimate power in Ukraine'. In 2021, he even stated:
We will definitely be in Kyiv, sooner or later. He also supported the war and the methods of 'Wagnerians'.
For his activities, Keosayan was subjected to personal sanctions from the European Union, the United Kingdom, Canada, Ukraine, and a number of other states.
The end of his life
In December 2024, Keosayan was hospitalized in serious condition, experienced clinical death, and has remained in a coma since then. Despite the efforts of medical staff, he could not be saved. Simonyan also mentioned a severe illness that prompted many jokes on social media regarding the possible quick reunion of the couple.
Thus, the death of Tigran Keosayan was the result of his prolonged illness and prompted discussions in the online space. Given his active propaganda activities, it can be said that his departure leaves a mark in history as a destructive machine of Russian propaganda.
