Protests in Israel: citizens demand urgent actions for release of hostages from Gaza.

On the eve of the anniversary of the Hamas attacks, thousands of Israelis took to the streets of several cities in the country, demanding immediate actions for the rescue of hostages held in the Gaza Strip. This is reported by CNN.

Particular attention was drawn to the demonstration near the private residence of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Caesarea, where relatives of the hostages called for their immediate release.

Additionally, CNN quoted several people who took part in the protests. In particular, Einav Zangauker, whose son Matan is one of the 101 hostages still held in Gaza, stated at the Begin gate in Tel Aviv that the hostages are still in Gaza because of Netanyahu.

He openly accused Prime Minister Netanyahu of inaction:

"Netanyahu does not want to bring back the hostages. The war in the south benefits him politically."

Dani Elgarat, brother of another hostage, also condemned the Israeli leader, calling the "hostages the hostages of Netanyahu's war for personal survival".

Liat Atsili Benin, one of the released hostages, added that the mourning on the anniversary of the attacks is aggravated by a sense of helplessness and internal divisions within the country:

"Souls are wounded, anger is raging, and a sense of helplessness is paralyzing."

According to video materials on social networks, the Ayalon highway in Tel Aviv was blocked. A demonstration in Caesarea took place near the private residence of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
