Putin's and Kim Jong Un's bodyguards clashed over an air conditioner.
Conflict of Putin's and Kim Jong Un's Bodyguards
According to The Sun: Bodyguards of Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un witnessed a vivid quarrel over an air conditioner during the summit in China. They had a verbal sparring that soon escalated into a scuffle, leaving everyone present bewildered.
The incident took place in Dyaoyutai during discussions of important issues when one of the North Korean bodyguards decided to lower the air conditioner temperature to 23 degrees. This was met by a Russian colleague insisting on maintaining the temperature at 20 degrees, which triggered the conflict.
When the argument erupted, the North Korean bodyguard refused to yield, resulting in a struggle for control over the air conditioning panel. Ultimately, the North Korean appeared to concede in the fight, while the Russian bodyguard stood guard over the panel like a dog on post.
Warm Relations Between Leaders
Thanks to meetings this year, Putin and Kim have grown even closer. The leaders of both countries have strong ties, confirmed by numerous meetings, gift exchanges, and signing important agreements.
After the meeting with Putin, Kim's bodyguards even disinfected the place where he sat, including cleaning the chair and table, and taking away the glass from which Kim drank water.
It is quite evident that North Korea supports Russia in its conflict in Ukraine by providing troops to assist Russian soldiers.
Grand Military Parade
Simultaneously, Putin, Kim, and Xi Jinping observed a large military parade in China dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, showcasing the latest armaments.
Thus, the two authoritarian leaders remain solid partners on the world stage while their countries face numerous challenges and difficult times.
