Putin congratulated Trump on the victory and made an unexpected statement.
Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that he does not consider it shameful to call the newly elected US President Donald Trump himself. He congratulated Trump on his election and emphasized that he is ready for contacts with him.
Putin believes that Trump is a courageous person, which was confirmed by his behavior during the assassination attempt. However, the dictator noted that Trump's actions in the second term are still unknown.
The President pointed out that Trump's statements about restoring relations with Russia and resolving the Ukrainian crisis deserve attention.
Putin also stated that he can call Trump himself but does not do so because Western leaders have stopped calling him.
By the way, the Russian president has not yet made an official congratulation to Trump on his election victory.
Donald Trump won the US presidential election, receiving support from 295 electors. This was more than necessary for victory.
He managed to regain the support of the states he lost in 2020, thanks to a coalition that included more young voters.
