Putin realizes his defeat in the war - US representative Kellogg.
Putin is unlikely to win the war against Ukraine - opinion of the US representative
According to inkorr.com: Kellogg, the special representative of the US president for Ukraine, believes that Vladimir Putin realizes the impossibility of achieving victory in the war against Ukraine. In his opinion, these are futile efforts that will not lead to success in the long term.
'I think deep down he realizes that he cannot win. For him, it is a futile struggle for the distant future. This will not happen,' Kellogg noted.
The need to counter Russian planes and drones
Kellogg also emphasized the importance of active measures against Russian planes and drones in case of violations of the airspace of NATO countries. He cited the example of 2015, when a Russian plane was shot down for violating Turkish airspace.
'Ukraine is already moving in this direction, attacking oil refineries and reducing their output by about 20%. We are working to ensure that no one buys their oil through secondary sanctions. Unfortunately, some European countries are still doing this,' Kellogg added.
Everything depends on Putin's decisions
Kellogg also pointed out that the loss of 'petrodollars' will pose a serious threat to Russia. He believes that the problems originate from Moscow, not from the West, so there is no point in setting 'red lines'.
'Now everything is decided in Putin's hands and at the level of pain he is willing to endure. Russia is forced to 'take tanks out of museums',' emphasized the American representative.
Donald Trump also negatively commented on Putin's actions, calling Medvedev 'a stupid person.'
Kellogg emphasized that the key decisions and subsequent actions in this war depend on Putin and noted that for Russia, the loss of finances from oil exports will be a serious blow. This indicates that the situation on the front and in the economy are closely linked, and the West must continue to support Ukraine in its struggle against aggression. The events surrounding Russia's presence on Ukrainian territory remain tense, and the world's attention is focused on the Kremlin's next steps.Read also
