Russia sent drones to Romania after shelling Poland.
The Premier also urged allies to pay attention to the dangerous violations of airspace by Russia, noting: 'Ignoring this growing aggression from Putin would be a mistake.'
'This was not a one-off situation.'
Starmer emphasized that 'it is absolutely clear that Russia is escalating aggression,' and highlighted the importance of a timely response from NATO allies.
RAF fighters together with forces from Denmark, France, and Germany will enhance NATO's border protection. The decision was made after Russian drones approaching the NATO base in Poland were shot down.

The United Kingdom also promised to send more troops to Poland to strengthen NATO's borders.
The Kremlin threatened to implement full-scale war against the West if the drones are attacked. The attack on Poland was the first instance where NATO directly interacted with Putin's forces since the beginning of the war in Ukraine.
The Polish military confirmed that it is ready to act and has allied aircraft in the air to combat the Russian drones.

In light of Russia's growing aggression, such actions from the United Kingdom may bolster the security of allies and demonstrate the unity of Western nations in countering aggressive actions. The readiness of the Polish military indicates that the country takes the situation seriously and is prepared to act if necessary. Read also
