From 2026, the gas payment will change for everyone: what to consider in consumption.
According to ТСН: Starting January 1, 2026, Ukrainians will observe changes in the monthly payment for the delivery of natural gas. These are not new tariffs, but a recalculation based on actual gas consumption for previous periods.
The annual payment for gas distribution will be determined based on consumption from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025. These indicators will form the basis for calculating monthly payments for the following year. The distribution tariff will remain unchanged; only the amount will change due to fluctuations in consumption volumes.
To avoid errors in calculations, it is important to report meter readings monthly from the 1st to the 5th inclusive. This data will be used for accurate accounting of consumption and formation of the annual base.
To find out the current distribution tariff for gas in your region, you can check your payment receipt or visit the website of your gas distribution operator.
How much гривня needs to be paid
Each consumer can calculate the payment amount independently by following a few steps:
find out the volume of gas consumed from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025 (this information is available on the website of the gas distribution operator in the personal account)
multiply this volume by the tariff (it varies in each region)
divide the obtained result by 12
Previously, an expert warned that the increase in gas transportation tariffs in Ukraine will not significantly affect price increases.
These changes in the billing system will help regulate gas payments, making them more transparent for consumers. Adhering to the specified deadlines for reporting meter readings will ensure accurate calculations, which is especially important in the context of price fluctuations for energy resources.
