About 600 thousand Russians left without electricity and heating due to the strike on Belgorod.
According to ТСН: In the Belgorod region of Russia, 600 thousand residents have been left without electricity, heating, and water after a missile strike from Ukraine.
The region's governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported that restoration work is ongoing, but the situation remains 'extremely difficult'.
Situation in Belgorod
As journalists note, street lights in Belgorod are not working, and residents are forced to use handheld flashlights and car headlights for lighting.
Impact on Ukraine
At the same time, the news agency emphasized that Russia often attacks Ukraine's energy infrastructure, leading to regular power outages for Ukrainians. This winter season, the occupiers are also trying to destroy heating systems. Specifically, after the nighttime strike by Russia, a significant part of Kyiv remains without heat.
These events highlight the difficult humanitarian situation in regions suffering from hostilities. Power and heating outages create serious challenges for local residents, especially in winter cold. At the same time, Russia's aggressive actions towards Ukraine's energy infrastructure show how war affects both sides of the conflict, causing harm to the civilian population.
