John Higgins admitted to losing motivation after 50: the future of the snooker legend is in question.
Motivation Issues for John Higgins
According to The Sun: John Higgins confessed that he finds it 'really hard' to find motivation to participate in snooker competitions after his 50th birthday. Known as The Wizard of Wishaw, he celebrated his milestone in May and decided to take a break after a successful season.
The four-time world champion secured victories at the World Open and the Tour Championship last season but failed to advance beyond the quarter-finals of the World Championship.
'I have been trying to find that inner fire, but so far it has been extremely difficult,' said Higgins.
He further emphasized that he is contemplating his future in the sport and trying to regain his inspiration.
These statements from Higgins demonstrate that even the most successful athletes face challenges in their careers. The break he took after his anniversary may serve as an important stage for reevaluating his goals and restoring energy for new achievements in snooker.
