No Border Chaos with Poland, Says Ukrainian Border Guard Spokesman: The Real Situation Explained.
Crossing the Border with Poland
According to Novyny.live: Andriy Demchenko, spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, has dismissed alarming reports of a collapse at the border with Poland, clarifying that the current situation reflects predictable seasonal traffic. According to him, there is no crisis at the border, and the situation remains fully under control.
Demchenko noted that on weekdays, especially in the morning hours, there are virtually no queues at border checkpoints. He also mentioned that Polish authorities had planned to close the Shehyni-Medyka bus route for repairs, which could have caused minor disruptions but did not lead to significant congestion. Over the past 24 hours, 29 buses from Ukraine passed through the 'Medyka' checkpoint, indicating a steady flow of incoming passenger traffic.
'Frankly, I would not support that claim because, overall, the summer season brings a substantial increase in passenger flow,' — Andriy Demchenko.
The spokesperson also highlighted passenger flow dynamics, stating: 'People need to keep in mind that closer to midday, especially on weekends, or after noon, passenger traffic increases daily.'
In summary, the situation at the border with Poland remains stable, and the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine continues to manage passenger flow, adapting to seasonal changes.
This confirmation of stable border conditions is crucial for travelers and businesses alike, as it ensures predictability in passenger transport. During the summer season, when the number of travelers traditionally rises, border control is vital for maintaining safety and convenience. It is important for citizens to stay informed about changes in checkpoint operations and adjust their plans according to passenger flow dynamics.
