According to The Sun: Red Bull star Max Verstappen once again captured attention by winning the Italian Grand Prix in Formula 1, but his young colleague Tim Tramnyts made headlines for an unpleasant reason – due to the annulment of his victory.

The 27-year-old Verstappen achieved a record victory in Monaco, setting the largest margin in the season and the fastest lap in Formula 1 history.

Annulment of Tramnyts' Victory

Verstappen's success drew attention to the Formula 3 race where Tim Tramnyts had won the sprint. However, his triumph turned out to be short-lived: the victory was annulled due to a penalty.

The 20-year-old driver was given a 10-second penalty for violating the starting procedure. After reviewing the evidence, the stewards' panel found that Tramnyts had performed the starting procedure improperly.

The Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) confirmed this decision, resulting in Tramnyts dropping from first place to eighteenth.

“The race control checked all cars regarding the execution of the starting procedure and found that only car 17 had not performed it, which was reported to the technical delegate. According to the technical delegate's report, data from car 17 indicates that the driver did not follow the starting procedure as required.”

Thus, Roman Bilynskyi from the Rodin Motorsport team achieved his first victory in F3.

Tim Tramnyts commented on the annulment of his victory on social media:

“We did a great job on the track, winning the sprint!”

“Due to a technical issue that was not the team's fault, I was unable to participate in the starting procedure, leading to a 10-second penalty. This moment is very disappointing!”

Tramnyts, who won the sprint in Monaco in 2024, finished the season in fourth place in the overall standings, won by Brazilian driver Rafael Câmara.

Thus, emotional moments in motorsport continue to remind audiences of the instability of results and the impact of small details on significant victories. Numerous fans eagerly await new races and surprises on the track, following the developments in Formula 1 and Formula 3.
