Incident at the football match in Belgium
The Belgian top league match taking place on Friday evening was stopped because a fan threw a cup at the referee. The game featured teams Standard from Liege and Royal Antwerp at the Maurice Dufrasne stadium. The Standard team took the lead with a goal from Rafik Saïd in the first minute of the match, but soon before the break, they were left with ten players.“The referee was struck by an object from the stands, causing chaos on the field,”- witnesses report.
