Heat up to +35°C and fire danger: what weather is expected in Ukraine on August 16.
On the upcoming Saturday, August 16, dry and sunny weather is expected. However, short thunderstorms and rain may occur during the day in Eastern Ukraine.
During this weekend, each of us dreams of resting outdoors and getting a dose of sunshine, but we should not forget about the possibility of short storms and rains. Despite this, the northeastern wind will bring us a pleasant, cool breeze, making it possible to immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of true summer.
Weather in Ukraine on August 16
The wind will blow from the northeast at a speed of about 5–10 m/s. On the coast of the Azov region and in the territory of Crimea, wind gusts of up to 15–17 m/s are expected.
The nighttime air temperature will fluctuate between +11 and +17°C, while in Transcarpathia it will be a bit warmer - from +16 to +21°C. Daytime temperatures will reach +25...+30 °C, in the south - up to +28...+33 °C. However, it may be extremely hot in Transcarpathia - from +30 to +35 °C.
Fire danger on August 16
During the heat, the fire danger increases. For this reason, residents are asked to refrain from lighting fires, burning grass and garbage, and to follow fire safety rules in open areas.
According to forecasts, on August 16, a high level of fire danger is expected in the west of the country, except for the Ternopil region. Additionally, the threat of fire has been recorded in Zhytomyr region, Vinnytsia region, Chernihiv region, Sumy region, Kharkiv region, Poltava region, Dnipropetrovsk region, Zaporizhia, and in all southern regions of Ukraine.
