Debt Restructuring for Utility Bills: How to Avoid Penalties and Losing Subsidies.
According to inkorr.com: In Ukraine, consumers have been explained how to resolve issues with utility service debts. The municipal holding 'Center of Utility Services' urged people with debts to take advantage of the restructuring opportunity. This procedure allows for gradual debt repayment and stops the accrual of penalties and other fines.
'For many consumers who have already accumulated debt, it is important not to lose their subsidy. At the same time, if the debt exceeds 680 UAH and is not paid for more than three months, its accrual is suspended. Signing a restructuring agreement helps to retain the subsidy,' emphasized Yuliya Petryk, deputy director of the commercial municipal holding 'Center of Utility Services.'
Restructuring Terms
The terms of restructuring are established individually, taking into account the financial situation of the consumer. Signing such an agreement helps to avoid lawsuits and maintain the right to receive a subsidy. The municipal holding 'Center of Utility Services' offers a convenient service for processing agreements for several types of services, simplifying the procedure for consumers.
How to Restructure
To restructure, one can visit local service centers, use the online cabinet of the CKS, or Telegram, even from abroad with the help of an electronic digital signature.
The municipal holding also reminds that it is important to adhere to the terms of the agreement: in case of violation of the payment schedule, the agreement may be canceled, and the service provider has the right to go to court. However, payment of current bills must always be made regularly, regardless of debt restructuring.
- required documents for processing: a copy of passport or ID card, Tax Identification Number (if not specified on the ID card), ownership documents for housing and an extract from the State Register of Real Rights to Property; if representation is needed – a power of attorney and the representative's passport.
A sample application and detailed instructions can be obtained in the online cabinet of CKS or during a consultation at the service center.
Therefore, Ukrainians have been explained the possibility of restructuring debts for utility services, allowing consumers to gradually repay their debts and avoid penalties. The procedure for signing a restructuring agreement has become convenient and accessible, which can significantly help in resolving issues with utility payments.
