Rio Ferdinand: Manchester United's biggest mistake in 2023 - Kane and Rice.
Rio Ferdinand is confident in Manchester United's lost chances
According to The Sun: Rio Ferdinand believes Manchester United would be in 'a different place' if the club had signed two stars in 2023.
Since the legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement in 2013, Manchester United has failed to recreate the magic that characterized them for two decades.

Team Issues
Last season, Manchester United finished in 15th place in the Premier League, which was the club's worst result in history.
This season, the team continues to struggle: they were eliminated from European competitions and the Carabao Cup after a surprising defeat to League Two club Grimsby.
Lack of Stars
The club legend Ferdinand, 46, is confident that if his former club had not missed the 'biggest mistakes' over the past 10 years, the situation today would be different.
These mistakes refer to failed attempts to acquire Harry Kane and Declan Rice two years ago.
“This is the biggest mistake, in my opinion, that they have made in the last 10 years. I’m sure if they had paid the sum Spurs wanted, they would have gotten him [Kane].”
“I genuinely believe if MU had signed Declan Rice and Harry Kane in that transfer window, Manchester United would be in a different place now.”
According to Ferdinand, these two players could have created a winning mentality atmosphere that would bring the club back to its glory days.
Harry Kane left Tottenham, moving to Bayer for £104 million, while Rice switched from West Ham to Arsenal for a record Premier League sum of £105 million.
The lack of key players like Kane and Rice continues to affect Manchester United’s performances. The club is still looking for new solutions to improve their results. Further actions in the transfer market may be decisive in this situation, as history shows that success in football often depends on successful transfers and the support of strong players who can change the course of the game.
