German intelligence services detained terrorists: they planned an attack on the Christmas market.

According to ТСН: Law enforcement in Bavaria, Germany, stopped the preparation of a terrorist act at the Christmas market in the town of Dingolfing by arresting five suspects. They were planning an attack on market visitors.

According to police information, the detainees intended to attack the crowd using a vehicle to inflict maximum damage.

Arrests and Suspects

The arrests took place at the border with Austria. Among the suspects are three Moroccan citizens, one Egyptian, and one Syrian.

The investigation believes that the Egyptian, known as a preacher who incited other participants to commit this crime, played a key role in preparing the attack.

The Munich Public Prosecutor's Office reported that all five detainees have already appeared in court, which agreed to their arrest. The first hints of a possible threat came from the Bavarian Office for the Protection of the Constitution.

Bavarian Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann emphasized that thanks to the coordinated work of intelligence services, it was possible to prevent a potential terrorist act and protect the population.

It could be a phone, a bag, even documents. It is important not to touch it yourself but to call the appropriate services.
