Russia attacked the energy system: 50 thousand consumers without electricity in Chernihiv.
Attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure
According to inkorr.com: On the night of October 4, Russia again struck at Ukraine's energy infrastructure. As a result, more than 50 thousand consumers in the Chernihiv region were left without electricity.
The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine emphasized that these targeted attacks are indicative of the terrorist methods used by the enemy. JSC 'Chernihivoblenergo' confirmed that several key electricity supply facilities were affected.
Schedule of outages and recovery
To reduce the number of outages, energy workers implemented a schedule of hourly outages in the Chernihiv region. Recovery works have already begun, and specialists plan to ease the schedule during off-peak hours.
Thus, the attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure have led to significant power outages in the Chernihiv region. The government condemned these actions as terrorist, but energy workers are actively working to restore the system and reduce the negative impact on the population.
These events underscore the vulnerability of Ukraine's energy infrastructure in the context of the conflict. Nevertheless, the efforts of specialists are aimed at restoring electricity supply and ensuring comfortable conditions for the population, despite numerous difficulties. The government will continue to monitor the situation to take necessary measures to ensure the stability of the energy sector.
