Commentary from Ukraine's President
“Patriot systems are the most effective against Russian ballistic weapons, and we need missile supplies for these systems every single day.” - Volodymyr Zelenskyy
These remarks underscore the critical importance of strengthening the country's defensive capabilities in response to the ongoing aggression. Ukraine has repeatedly called for more advanced Western air defense systems to protect its cities and critical infrastructure.
This assault is part of the prolonged conflict in Ukraine and highlights the continuation of hostilities that have severe consequences for the civilian population and vital infrastructure. The emphasis on the necessity of bolstering defense systems like the Patriot indicates Ukraine's strategy of adapting to new security challenges and securing continued international military support.
