The assault originated from the Bryansk and Kursk regions of Russia, as well as from the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk. A total of 37 attack drones were deployed, including models identified as Shahed, Gerbera, and Itlamas, with 20 of them being the Iranian-made 'Shahed' type. Ukrainian air defense forces successfully intercepted and destroyed 29 of the hostile unmanned aerial vehicles.

The overnight attack, which spanned from February 18 into the 19th, resulted in explosions being recorded at four separate locations. This relentless bombardment is part of a wider Russian campaign targeting Ukrainian energy and civilian infrastructure. In the city of Lozova, located in the Kharkiv region, a substantial portion of residents were left without heating and water due to the strikes. The assault also damaged civilian infrastructure across Kharkiv province, with seven settlements coming under fire.
