Russia attacked Ukraine with missiles and drones: a massive strike was made on Konotop in Sumy region, there are wounded.

On the night of September 12, a massive attack took place in Konotop, resulting in 14 people being injured.

According to the information of "Khvilya", this was reported by the mayor of Konotop, Artyom Semenikhin.

According to him, due to enemy shelling, there is no power supply in the city. The attack took place in the city center and affected residential buildings. When creating a headquarters to eliminate the consequences of the shelling, the issue of providing temporary housing for the victims is being considered.

"People who were left without housing will be provided with temporary housing. Today, they will have a place to stay overnight. The issue with water supply is being resolved," Semenikhin noted.

The mayor of Konotop reported that two people were hospitalized, one of them in critical condition and in a coma.

In this regard, tram movement in the city will be limited.

Semenikhin emphasized that the issue with energy is complex.

It was also reported that a massive airstrike was made on energy and civilian infrastructure facilities. The enemy targeted residential buildings, educational and medical institutions. In this connection, Points of Invincibility have been deployed.

The police of Sumy region have initiated criminal proceedings on this fact under the article "Violation of laws and customs of war".

It should be noted that the strike on Konotop occurred as part of a large-scale air attack by Russian forces on Ukraine. Various types of missiles and 64 "Shahed" drones were used.

However, thanks to the effective work of the Ukrainian defense forces, 44 drones were destroyed. Some drones returned to the territory of Russia, and some remained in the territory of Ukraine. No casualties or damage among people and buildings were reported.

Air defense worked in many regions of Ukraine and stopped most of the missiles from reaching their targets.

The market in Kostyantynivka was also attacked by the enemy.
