The training base of the Odessa football club 'Chornomorets' in Sovinyon was damaged by a Russian shelling on February 28. This was reported by 'Glavkom' citing the club's official Facebook page.

It is reported that in the evening of February 28, the training base of the club sustained serious damage as a result of an air attack by the Russian Federation.

Windows were blown out in the pool, the administrative building was damaged, shattered glass covered a large area of the sports rehabilitation complex. Cars of the club's employees and representatives were damaged - it should not be forgotten that this was the evening before an important match in the 19th round of the UPL against FC 'Lviv'. A damage assessment is forthcoming.

Fortunately, no players, coaches, or staff were hurt. Most of the players and coaches stayed at the base for the night.

The guys are in a normal psychological state. Anticipating questions, we note: all legionnaires are present, everyone is on the team in this loud, in every sense of the word, and destructive Time. The team is like one real family. The fourth year of war is underway; the behavior of the Russian neighbor is no longer surprising. But even when you seem to be ready for everything, it is still hard to accept that something could explode at any moment in any place.

Today, March 1, 'Chornomorets' was supposed to play against 'Left Bank' in the 19th round of the Ukrainian championship. The game was scheduled to start at 15:30.

We remind you that the deputy general director of the football club 'Karpaty', Oleg Avdysh, did not return to Ukraine after the team's foreign training camp. His cooperation has been terminated.

From January 18 to February 14, the football team was on training camps in Turkey.

'Karpaty' confirmed that all club employees, including coaches, players, and staff, returned to Ukraine except for the deputy general director for external communications, Avdysh.

According to information, the club has already terminated the employment contract with Avdysh. 25-year-old Oleg Avdysh began working at 'Karpaty' in October 2024.

In 2020, 'Ukrinform' named him 'the youngest football agent in Europe'. In an interview with the news agency, Avdysh mentioned that he was born in Zhytomyr and later studied journalism at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. His father, Zaya Avdysh, was a distinguished coach of Ukraine and a long-time president of FC 'Polissya'.
