Russia recruits teenagers in Britain for sabotage: intelligence reveals new Kremlin tactics.
According to inkorr.com: The Center for Countering Disinformation reported that since 2022, more than 70 sabotage attacks linked to Russia have been recorded in Great Britain.
New Kremlin Tactics
According to European intelligence, the Kremlin has changed its tactics and started recruiting youth through social media for arson and explosions. After the expulsion of many Russian agents from Britain due to the poisoning of Sergei Skripal in 2018, the Russian Federation lost its personnel base and was forced to switch to more adaptive methods.
The targets of the attacks have been warehouses, logistics centers, telecommunication hubs, and enterprises supporting Ukraine. The main goal has been to inflict economic damage, halt supplies, and create an atmosphere of vulnerability in Europe.
Security Threat
'These actions can be considered a form of state terrorism through private contractors. European intelligence agencies have warned that the new tactics of Russian saboteurs are extremely dangerous: untrained operatives often act near residential areas and warehouses, attempting to create homemade explosives without knowing basic safety rules, which increases the risk of mass casualties,' emphasized the Center for Countering Disinformation.
The Kremlin employs new disinformation methods to recruit youth for committing sabotage in Great Britain, which poses serious threats to security and stability in Europe. Intelligence warns of the risks posed by this new tactic of Russian special services.
The situation indicates the growing aggression of the Kremlin in the European region, which is being realized through new tools of disinformation and recruitment. European countries must be especially cautious and prepared for possible threats that may arise from these modified approaches in the activities of Russian agents.
