Russia will escalate the military conflict until Trump's inauguration - expert.
Expert of the analytical center 'United Ukraine' Igor Popov claims that Russia continues to increase tension in the military conflict until the inauguration of the new US president Donald Trump. He points out that the Russian demands are unreasonable and fantastical, which is confirmed by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. Popov believes that before Trump's arrival in power, Russia will attempt to regain control over the Kursk region through military means and will continue to make its demands through information channels in the West.
The expert also notes that missile strikes on Kyiv and all of Ukraine indicate that Russia is not preparing for peace negotiations. These actions create a base for minimal compromises and concessions from Russia. During the negotiations, they will try to take the strongest position, including in front of their Ukrainian allies, who do not all understand the importance of entering negotiations from the strongest position.
